Norman Mailer, 1923-2007 & Ira Levin, 1929-2007

The literary world lost two of its favorite authors last week as both Norman Mailer and Ira Levin passed away. Both branches of the Irondequoit Library have many of their books for patrons who want to catch up on some great fiction they may have missed.

Ira Levin is best known for writing Rosemary’s Baby in 1967. But he is also the author of The Stepford Wives, The Boys From Brazil and Son of Rosemary.

Norman Mailer’s final book, The Castle in the Forest, was published earlier this year. He has also writtne The Naked and the Dead, The Executioner’s Song and Portrait of Picasso As a Young Man.

All of these items can be reserved by calling either library (McGraw: 336-6060 & Evans: 336-6062) or by using the online catalog.
